Saving is NOT hard. It's Just Smart.
One of the most misunderstood notions of finance is saving. Some people think it takes an Act of Congress to save money and get out of debt. The truth is, it really only takes one small (yet pretty major) component...discipline. Without that, you will definitely not have the willpower or the ability to get yourself out. There have been numerous stories about people making menial amounts of money but yet find the ability to save up a nest egg for a rainy day. I'm sure you've also heard of people who make 6 figure incomes but living paycheck to paycheck. It happens often, folks.
The ability to save money takes discipline and effort on your part. The rest can be taught, like budgeting, planning and research. My good friend Angie, of the Sincerely Angie Podcast, has a very good video on how she was able to save $10,000 in one year! This is a definite must watch for tips, pointers and encouragement. Check it out.
